As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmutallahi Wa Baraakaatahu,

It’s your Sunnah Infographics Family here!

We hope you are well and in the best of health and emaan…

As the summer is well underway, many of you are enjoying your vacation time, reflecting over the past year and spending quality time with family and friends.

As a Muslim, our time is precious and the people we spend our time with is even more precious. In today's society, where the blessings of the people are shown and flaunted on social media, the honor of women is not preserved and communities are trialed with gossiping about others.

We would like to share with Our Sunnah Infographics Community and the Muslim ummah, an important dua reported from the Prophet (ﷺ), that we should learn, memorize and share with others for protection from evil.

Ayat Al Qur’an - Surah Ghafir  (The Forgiver) - (Quran 40:60)

And your Lord said: "Invoke Me, [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islamic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation). Verily! Those who scorn My worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness, (Islamic Monotheism)] they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!"

1 Hadith

Abu Hurayrah (radee’Allaahu anhu) said that from the Messenger of Allaah, (ﷺ) his supplications were: “Oh Allaah, I seek refuge with you from an evil neighbour; And from a wife who causes me to grow old before old age; And from a son who will become a master over me; And from wealth which will become a punishment for me; And from a cunning friend whose gaze is upon me & whose heart is plotting & planning against me, such that if he sees something good, he buries it & if he sees something bad he spreads it.” (Collected by At Tabaraani in ‘Ad Dua’ (3/1425/1339) and its chain is declared ‘Jayyid’ (Good) by Shaikh Al Albaani in silsilatul Ahaadeethus Saheehah (No#3137)

Reflection Point

In today's society, it is important to always be aware of your surroundings. With the many trials that approach the Muslim from different directions, whether it be an evil companion, the distractions of media in general, an evil neighbour or a trial within the family. It is important to supplicate and pray to Allah in times of difficulty and hardship.

Hudhayfah reported:

If the Prophet (ﷺ) was distressed about anything, he would pray.
