Reflection Point
As we know..
Food plays an important role in the month of Ramadhan.
Most of us think about the wonderful evening meal with family and loved ones!
But we don’t pay enough attention to The Pre-Dawn Meal.
Why?
Because we have to wake up early to take it!
So here are a few simple tips to make sure that you wake up for your pre-dawn meal.
-
Set an alarm - This is a good way to make sure that you wake up with enough time to eat. We all can set an alarm to wake up for work. So what about our pre-dawn meal?
-
Prepare the food before you go to sleep - This is a great way to make sure that the process is smooth, when you're half asleep and trying to find your way around the kitchen.
-
Encourage others to wake you up, if you oversleep - This is a great backup in case you're so tired that you sleep through your alarm.
-
Wake up close to the time of the prayer - This is important because once you eat, you will feel tired and be tempted to go back to sleep. So try to wake up at least 30 mins before the morning prayer; this way you won’t miss it!
-
Make sure the Suhoor is delicious! - This is a great way to encourage the family to wake up for their pre-dawn meal. Everyone will be excited to eat, so they will be up bright and early.
These are just a few practical tips to help start off your Ramadhan in the best possible way.
