As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmutallahi Wa Baraakaatahu,
It’s your Sunnah Infographics Family here.
Hope you're well and in good health.
You’ve completed your first week of fasting.
Well done!
How are you feeling?
It can often be a challenge to fast and continue with your days as normal.
For those who live on an island, alone, on the beach.
Good job!
But for those who have to fast and continue their days as normal.
Then there's much to be on guard for…
Guessing what?
Let's dig deep and set our boundaries..

Ayat Al Qur’an - Surah Al Baqarah (The Cow) - (2:183)
O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous.

1 Hadith

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever does not give up false statements (i.e. telling lies), and evil deeds, and speaking bad words to others, Allah is not in need of his (fasting) leaving his food and drink."
Sahih al-Bukhari 6057

2nd Hadith

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “When one of you wakes up in the morning for fasting, then he should not use obscene language or behave foolishly. If anyone abuses him or fights with him, he should say twice: Indeed, I am fasting.”

Reflection Point

Fasting is a marathon..
Not a sprint.
It requires patience, consistency, determination and an inner strength!
Do you have it?
Answer: Ofcourse you do!
Some of these qualities, people never experience in their lifetime.
So embrace the difficulty, and learn the lessons.
Because what your really learning about..
Is yourself!
And while learning about yourself, you are being rewarded by Allah.
The All Hearing
(As-Sami)
The All Seeing
(Al-Basir)
So remain patient and know that Allah can see you!
And he can hear everything that you say in public and private.
So as we go throughout our days.
Working, studying, family commitments and more..
Here are the 4 things to be cautious of while we're fasting:
  1. Foul language & cursing - Letting your tongue loose.
  2. Backbiting - Speaking about others behind their back.
  3. Fighting - Getting aggressive and threatening.
  4. Envy & Jealousy - Destroying your own state of mind.
There are many more…
But these are a few important ones to be aware of during these fasting days.
And even throughout your lifetime!
So as we move through this blessed month at a rapid speed.
If anyone approaches you with any of these 4 things
It's a simple sentence.
“Im fasting..”
No more...
No less...
Someone wants to argue..
“Im fasting..”
Someone wants to backbite.
“Im fasting..”
Someone wants to be aggressive.
“Im fasting..”
And simply walk away..
This week we have designed a simple, yet very important infographic with the 4 things you need to be aware of and cautious about.
