As the weeks and months have gone by..
We have continued to see the innocent killing of our brothers and sisters in the War on Gaza. The Ministry of Health in Gaza has said that 17,177 people (including 7,112 children) have been killed and 46,000 wounded since the conflict started on October 7.
With such astronomical numbers of Palestinians, including women and children dying.
It is something that weighs heavy on the heart and soul of the parents and the Muslim Ummah.
How do we comfort the soul during this tragedy?

Ayat Al Qur’an - Surah Al Baqarah (The Cow) - (2:155)
وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم بِشَىْءٍ مِّنَ ٱلْخَوْفِ وَٱلْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ وَٱلْأَنفُسِ وَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient.
1 Hadith
Abu Hassan reported: I said to Abu Huraira, “I have two sons who died. Can you tell us something from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to cheer up our souls after their death?” Abu Huraira said, “Yes, the Prophet said: Their young are roaming about in Paradise.”

عَنْ أَبِي حَسَّانَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ إِنَّهُ قَدْ مَاتَ لِيَ ابْنَانِ فَمَا أَنْتَ مُحَدِّثِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِحَدِيثٍ تُطَيِّبُ بِهِ أَنْفُسَنَا عَنْ مَوْتَانَا قَالَ قَالَ نَعَمْ صِغَارُهُمْ دَعَامِيصُ الْجَنَّةِ

Reflection Point
As the death rate of innocent civilians including Muslim women and children continues to rise in this war.
It weighs heavily on the soul of the Muslim.
So we ask the question..
How does one find solace and comfort for the soul in such a disaster?
The affair returns back to Allah and his Messenger.
As reported in the hadith, a parent, whose children passed away, approached Abu Hurairah (the companion of the Prophet ﷺ) to ask him regarding some words that would comfort his soul from the Prophet ﷺ.
So Abu Huraira informed him.
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Their young are roaming about in Paradise.”
With the difficulties of what we see and what we hear regarding the children who have died in Gaza.
Let the soul seek comfort and be assured that the young Children of Gaza and those children of the Muslims who who have passed away are roaming about in Paradise insha Allah.
Belief in the unseen, is a part of our faith and falls under the foundations of emaan.
So we believe in it, even though we have not seen it.
How beautiful a religion this is!
May Allah protect our brothers and sisters in Palestine and return them back to a state of safety and security, free from oppression and grant them solace and comfort from those they have lost.
