Ayat Al Qur’an - Surah Al Nisa (The Women) - (4:1)
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَٰحِدَةٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَبَثَّ مِنْهُمَا رِجَالًا كَثِيرًا وَنِسَآءً وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى تَسَآءَلُونَ بِهِۦ وَٱلْأَرْحَامَ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَيْكُمْ رَقِيبًا
O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam), and from him (Adam) He created his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], and from them both He created many men and women and fear Allah through Whom you demand your mutual (rights), and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship). Surely, Allah is Ever an All-Watcher over you.

‘Uqbah ibn ‘Amir reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Surely, whoever wants to extend his lifespan and expand his provision, let him uphold his family ties.”

Reflection Point
Over the course of our lives..
We are on a constant uphill struggle to look after ourselves..
Maintain our good health and seek sufficient sustenance to live.
The only problem is..
We sometimes take the most difficult path to get there.
It doesn't always have to be a struggle.
Yes..
Exercising, eating healthy and working out.
Play an important role.
But sometimes the answer is even simpler than you think.
If we would just take the time to reflect.
Yes..
Strengthening the bonds of kinship.
Let me ask you a question.
How are you with your family members?
Your parents, siblings, aunties, uncles, cousins..
If you want to live a long and fulfilled life.
This is a fundamental component!
A component that you have to work on like a muscle.
When your in the gym..
Not everyone has the opportunity to nurture these relationships.
But if you do!

Your task this week, is to look around you...
And match your provision and your health..
With the relationships you have and how close you are with immediate and extended family members...
And you will see the correlation..
It may be good or bad...
But before you start analysing..
Just know one thing..
