As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmutallahi Wa Baraakaatahu,
It’s your Sunnah Infographics Family here!
We hope you are well and in the best of health and emaan…
The 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are flying by and now we have reached this day of great mercy!
Ayat Al Qur’an - Surah Al- Hajj (The Pilgrimage) - (22:28)
That they may witness things that are of benefit to them (i.e. reward of Hajj in the Hereafter, and also some worldly gain from trade, etc.), and mention the Name of Allah on appointed days (i.e. 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th day of Dhul-Hijjah), over the beast of cattle that He has provided for them (for sacrifice) (at the time of their slaughtering by saying: Bismillah, WAllahu-Akbar, Allahumma Minka wa Ilaik). Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor who have a very hard time.
Hadith
Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said:
“There is no day on which Allāh frees more of His servants from the Hellfire than He does on the Day of ‘Arafah. Indeed He draws close and then He boasts of them to the Angels and He says: ‘What is it that they want?’” (Muslim, no. 1348)
In a narration, Allah stated: “Bear witness my Angels that verily I have forgiven them!” (Graded saheeh by Al-Albani in Saheeh At-Targheeb, no 1154)
The Messenger ﷺ stated:
“Fasting the day of ‘Arafah expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year.” (Muslim)
Reflection Point:
The reflection today is to ponder over the mercy of Allah. Be thankful to him and call upon him alone for your needs. What a great mercy from your lord, that he forgives your sins for the previous year and the coming year. Those sins which you have not committed yet. SubhanAllah!
So this is a reminder to everyone to fast tomorrow and benefit from this great day of mercy!
