As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmutallahi Wa Baraakaatahu,

It’s your Sunnah Infographics Family here!

We hope you are well and in the best of health and emaan.

Question.

Has the time not come for us to be grateful for the blessings we receive?

Or do we think that it came about by our own hands?

This week we will reflect over those blessings that Allah has bestowed upon us..

Those blessings that can leave us in the blinking of an eye…

If we truly understood.

Let’s dig a little deeper...

Ayat Al Qur’an - Surah Al Rahman (The Most Gracious) - (55:13)

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the blessings (and powers) of your Lord—(O jinn and men)—will you both deny

1 Hadith

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Take advantage of five before five: your youth before your old age, your health before your illness, your riches before your poverty, your free time before your work, and your life before your death.”

Reflection Point

Due to the nature of mankind.

We overlook the many blessings that we have been given, due to the blurry lenses that we look at this world with (distractions).

As a result of this, we find that blessings pass us by like the hours of the day.

So it’s important to remind ourselves, our online community and the Muslim Ummah of the speech of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, regarding 5 things that we should take advantage of before they pass us by.

1. Youth - Make the most of the strength and alertness that you have during your youth. Learn the Qur’an, study, memorise, obey your parents, learn a skill and benefit others before you reach old age.

2. Health - Make the most of your health. Stay active, go to the gym, exercise, eat healthy foods and strive to do good before you become sick.

3. Wealth - Make the most of your wealth by donating, spending on your family, completing Hajj and Umrah, clearing debts, investing and spending on the poor.

4. Time - Make the most of your free time. Learn more about your religion, travel, spend time with loved ones, stay productive, plan and work towards your future goals early on (don't delay).

5. Life - Make your life meaningful with sincerity to the Lord of All Creation in accordance to what he has legislated and stay away from what he has forbidden, before you pass away.

These are only a few examples of how we can utilise these 5.

You all have many more for yourself that you can add...

Just don't let the opportunities slip away.

The ball is in your court now!

This week, pick one or two goals we have mentioned and work towards them. Whether its giving in charity, eating healthier or being more productive with your time.

To help you further, you can simply print out the Infographic and use it as a bookmark, a fridge magnet or bedside reminder to keep you thankful and thoughtful during your morning and evenings.

Don't be from those who realise too late and didn't even identify that these were blessings to begin with!

Be thankful for what you have been given..

And Allah will give you more.

Remember...

"Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it."
