As the days and weeks go by, the affair of the Muslim becomes more and more difficult. Whether it be trials within your day to day life or major trials taking place in Palestine and elsewhere across the world.
However, in these times, it is of extreme importance that we remain positive and optimistic concerning our Lord of what he has decreed, from the good and the bad.
For verily the help of Allah is near..
Ayat Al Qur’an - Surah Al Baqarah (The Cow) - (2:214)
أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَن تَدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَأْتِكُم مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوْا۟ مِن قَبْلِكُم مَّسَّتْهُمُ ٱلْبَأْسَآءُ وَٱلضَّرَّآءُ وَزُلْزِلُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَعَهُۥ مَتَىٰ نَصْرُ ٱللَّهِ أَلَآ إِنَّ نَصْرَ ٱللَّهِ قَرِيبٌ
Or think you that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed along with him said, "When (will come) the Help of Allah?" Yes! Certainly, the Help of Allah is near!
1 Hadith
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، أَخْبَرَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَاسِعٍ، عَنْ سُمَيْرِ بْنِ نَهَارٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ حُسْنَ الظَّنِّ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ حُسْنِ عِبَادَةِ اللَّهِ " . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Indeed, having good thoughts concerning Allah is from the perfection of the worship of Allah.”
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3604
Reflection Point
When we look within our own selves and the afflictions that take place across the world.
We can often start to feel like we are alone in fighting our battles.
Many Muslims fall into bouts of depression and despair because they are simply not thinking positively about Allah and his pre decree.
Why does this happen?
Because the Shaytaan, wishes for you to be discontent with the decree of Allah and lose hope in the mercy of Allah.
So don’t be fooled by the tricks of Shaytaan!
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“Indeed, having good thoughts concerning Allah is from the perfection of the worship of Allah.”
So having good thoughts about Allah, is from the perfection of worship and the key to pushing through hard and difficult times in your life.
So this week when going through your day to day affairs. Try to look at your life, through the lens of positivity and gratefulness; and know that the things that take place in the world from good and bad are from Allah's mighty and great wisdom.
