As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmutallahi Wa Baraakaatahu,

It’s your Sunnah Infographics Family here!

We hope you are well and in the best of health and emaan.

Last week we spoke about the importance of investing in your hereafter.

The beautiful hadith we mentioned last week included many other important points.

One of which we will talk about today..

And that's looking after and protecting your family, like a shepherd who takes care of his flock of sheep…

Lets usher along to find out more..

Ayat Al Qur’an - Surah Al Tahrim (The Prohibition) - (66:6)

O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded.

1 Hadith

Abdullah ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The leader of people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects. A man is the guardian of his family and he is responsible for them. A woman is the guardian of her husband’s home and his children and she is responsible for them. The servant of a man is a guardian of the property of his master and he is responsible for it. No doubt, every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock.”

1 Reflection Point

A shepherd or sheepherder is the one who tends, herds, feeds, or guards flocks of sheep. In the beautiful hadith mentioned in today's email, it compares our responsibilities to that of a shepherd, who cares for his flock of sheep.

The leader as the guardian of his nation, the man as the guardian of his family, the woman as the guardian of her home and the servant as the guardian of his owner's property.

You are all leaders of a flock!

And if you aren't a leader of a flock yet, you may well be one day!

But why is this important for us?

It’s important because we are all responsible and protectors of something or someone in this life.

And what are we protecting our flock from?

The Hellfire..

Whose fuel is people and stones!

SubhanAllah...

In today's world, there are so many moving parts to life when it comes to responsibilities and rights.

Like the rights of our parents, spouses, children, siblings, grandparents, relatives, fellow Muslims.

Just like a shepherd who herds his goats, all of them moving in different directions.

Not an easy task!

But we try our best to nurture, cultivate, teach, advise and encourage where and when we are able insha Allah.

Life is an act of juggling, and we can only juggle effectively by following the revelation that was sent by Allah, The Almighty, The All Knowing.

And that is The Qur'an and The Authentic Sunnah.

This week, we have designed a very informative and well-organized infographic for you to share with everyone that you know!

It has been designed as a reminder for us to take care of our responsibilities within the home and outside of it.

We encourage you to share this week's infographic seeking the reward of ongoing charity that will continue on once you pass away.

These beneficial infographics are small snippets of knowledge that can be passed on to many across the world by a simple click of a button.

Your task for this week is to consider the areas that you can improve with family members, your household and your community.

It could be that your children need more time from you.

Or your partner needs more involvement from you.

Or your household needs more structure.

Think about just a few of these points and try to find ways to improve them insha Allah.

After all…

Your flock needs you!

Remember...

"Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it."
