We’d like to share with you the importance of waking up while remembering Allah, making your ablution and praying the Fajr Prayer.

For those who seek a productive morning, with a strong start to the day.

You should take notice of this week's reminder…

Ayat Al Qur’an - Surah Al- Rum   (The Romans) - (30:17)

So glorify Allah [above all that (evil) they associate with Him (O believers)], when you come up to the evening [i.e. offer the (Maghrib) sunset and ('Isha') night prayers], and when you enter the morning [i.e. offer the (Fajr) morning prayer].

1 Hadith

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Satan ties three knots on the back of your head while you are asleep. On every knot he puts the saying: The night is long, stay asleep. When you wake up and remember Allah, one knot is undone. When you perform ablution, the second knot is undone. When you pray, the third knot is undone and you will wake up energetic with a good heart; otherwise, you will wake up lazy with a mischievous heart.”

Reflection Point

As the summer approaches and the weather gets hot, we can often fall into laziness or feeling tired throughout the day due to the intense heat. This then creeps into our sleep, where we fall short in waking up for the prayers throughout the day, early morning and evening. Today's reflection is knowing what happens when we sleep, and why sometimes it can be difficult to wake up for the early morning prayer. Yes, Shaytaan ties knots encouraging a person to sleep through the night and not wake up for the prayers.

Aameen

With this in mind it is important to make the effort when sleeping in the night, to set an alarm. Ask family members to wake you, go to bed at a reasonable time or simply be attentive to the adhan for the early morning prayer if you live in a location where the adhan can be heard. All of this will help us to combat the tricks of shaytan and remain firm upon that which Allah loves the most.

The prayer in its proper time.

Insha Allah
