As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmutallahi Wa Baraakaatahu,
It’s your Sunnah Infographics Family here!
We hope you are well and in the best of health and emaan…
Today we will be talking about the heart..
Yes…
That morsel of flesh that beats continuously for 60-70 years of a person's life without being connected to anything.
No electrical supply, no recharging, no solar energy..
Nothing!
Did you know that the average person's heart beats 100,000 times a day!
SubhanAllah..
This is enough of a miracle, if we would only take heed!
Ayat Al Qur’an - Surah Al- Ra’d (The Thunder) - (13:28)
Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.
1 Hadith
Al-Nu’man ibn Bashir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
Verily, in the body is a piece of flesh which, if sound, the entire body is sound, and if corrupt, the entire body is corrupt. Truly, it is the heart.

Reflection Point:
Looking after our physical health is extremely important, and there are many steps that we take to make sure that we are in physical shape, like frequently attending the gym, jogging, walking and eating healthily.
But what about the parts of the body that we do not see?
Like the heart!
Our hearts are in need of looking after, purifying, cultivating and protecting too.
I’ll give you an example.
How many stories do we hear in the news of professional athletes, basketball players, footballers, in the best physical shape, some of the healthiest people in the world, taking to drugs and intoxicants as a means of finding peace and tranquility.
Even dying at times.
Are they not healthy human beings?
Yes, ofcourse, but their hearts are sick, unprotected, lost and not connected to their creator.
As Muslims, we must look after that which is apparent and that which is not apparent, like the heart inside our chests.
For verily, if the heart is corrupt, then the whole body is corrupt, as our prophet Muhammad ﷺ informed us.
So we should protect it even more than our physical appearance.
And the key is to look after both.
Let's ponder over the importance of taking care of our hearts. Engaging in acts of worship that strengthen the heart and staying aways from things that corrupt the heart. This week, we have designed a comprehensive, beautiful and simply designed infographic on some of the ways we can protect our hearts.
Remember...
