Ayat Al Qur’an - Surah Al Waqiah (The Event) - (Quran 56:27-33)
The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?
[They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed
And [banana] trees layered [with fruit]
And shade extended
And water poured out
And fruit, abundant [and varied],
Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden,
1 Hadith
The Messenger (ﷺ) said,
“Ajwa dates are from paradise.”
[Tirmidhi (2068) authenticated by Shaikh al-Albaani].
Reflection Point
As the days move on after Ramadhan, it becomes clearer the blessings that we encounter throughout our day to day lives. When we ponder over the bliss of Jannah, it encourages us to strive to get there! One of the blessings of Jannah is the fruits therein.
After a month of abstaining from food and drink, we return back to normal but with a greater appreciation for the food that we have been blessed with.
Today's reminder is simply to make us thankful for the many foods that we have been provided with in this life and the abundance of amazing fruits that are present in the hereafter.
A perfect example is the Ajwa Date as mentioned in the hadeeth, which is directly from paradise!
Along with the many benefits that come with this particular Date.
SubhanAllah..
Narrated Sa`d: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "Whoever takes seven 'Ajwa dates in the morning will not be effected by magic or poison on that day."
Sahih al-Bukhari 5779
So in order to share with you some of the amazing fruits that exist on this earth and in the hereafter (that are only similar by the names), we have compiled a simple, colourful and comprehensive infographic that displays the fruits and vegetables mentioned in the Qur’an.
It will remind us of the blessings that exist and the wonders that await for those who reach paradise.
May Allah make us from them.
Ameen
