As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmutallahi Wa Baraakaatahu,

It’s your Sunnah Infographics Family here!

We hope you are well and in the best of health and emaan…

We hope everyone is in really good health, up bright & early ready for the week!

We should all be on a bit of a high, especially after our Eid celebrations..

Thankful & Grateful..

Alhamdulillah...

But we don't stop there!

Our good deeds don't stop with the month of Ramadan..

Not at all!

We’ve been given another door to goodness, that we must certainly grab with both hands into the month of Shawwal.. Today we will share two very important hadith related to fasting generally and fasting in the month of Shawwal.

Hadith 1

Abu Ayyoub reported that the prophet (ﷺ) said “Whoever fasts the month of Ramadhan and then follows it by fasting six days during the month of Shawwal will be rewarded as if he had fasted the entire year"

[Muslim, at-Tirmithi, Ibn Majah, Abu Dawood and Ahmad by way of Jabir].

Hadith 2

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "(Allah said), 'Every good deed of Adam's son is for him except fasting; it is for Me. and I shall reward (the fasting person) for it.' Verily, the smell of the mouth of a fasting person is better to Allah than the smell of musk."

(Sahih al-Bukhari 5927)

Reflection Point:

As human beings, we are creatures of habit! Why do we mention this point? We mention this point to highlight the nature of mankind. As you may have noticed, towards the end of the month of Ramadan, our bodies slowly started to condition itself to not consuming food and drink throughout the daylight hours.

As i'm sure you are asked, by non Muslims. How do you manage? We can simply respond, our creator knows us  better than we know our own selves.

As the month of Ramadhan has closed upon us, we can’t stop there brothers & sisters. We must still keep striving! Allah has opened this opportunity for us to gain more reward through the 6 days of Shawwal.

A small price for a tremendous reward!

If one of your employers said to you...

I will pay you a year's salary for 6 days of work?

Would you say yes or no?

Of Course, you would say yes!

Nonetheless and most importantly, let's take up this opportunity to fast these 6 days of Shawwal and reap the rewards for a year's fasting insha Allah.

A small ask for such a huge reward!

How kind is our lord to us?

Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
