As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmutallahi Wa Baraakaatahu,

It’s your Sunnah Infographics Family here!

We hope you and your families are in the best of health and emaan.

Do you ever wonder why you sometimes lose focus in life?

Especially as a Muslim..

Who tries to stick to their daily prayers, their fasting, their righteous actions..

Let me tell you why…

Because we get distracted by the pomp and glitter of this world.

Let’s dig a little deeper to find out more…

Ayat Al Qur’an - Surah Al Hadeed (The Iron) - (57:20)

Know that the life of this world is only play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting among you, and rivalry in respect of wealth and children, as the likeness of vegetation after rain, thereof the growth is pleasing to the tiller; afterwards it dries up and you see it turning yellow; then it becomes straw. But in the Hereafter (there is) a severe torment (for the disbelievers, evil-doers), and (there is) Forgiveness from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure (for the believers, good-doers), whereas the life of this world is only a deceiving enjoyment.

1 Hadith

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,

“The world is a prison for the believer and a paradise for the unbeliever.”

Reflection Point

Sometimes we go through life, looking at what others are doing around us.

That we forget to focus on our ourselves and our journey.

I'll give you an example.

Imagine you are driving your car.

Whilst driving, you concern yourself with the shiny cars either side of you.

As a result, you lose focus and direction on where you are supposed to be going and get lost.

The same happens in life!

When you focus on others, especially those in the spotlight of today's pop-culture. It can sometimes seem like others are having the best time of their life!

Opening up a door for Shaytaan to fill you with dissatisfaction and unhappiness.

Don't be fooled!

It is exactly as we have been told.

This world is a prison for the believer.

It feels like a prison, because we are tested with staying away from the haraam, that the non-Muslims busy themselves with enjoying.

It may seem alluring, but remember it’s not!

It is merely play and amusement for them for a short while.

And ultimately, they will lose out in the hereafter.

Their paradise in this life still consists of getting sick, having to earn a living, suffering depression, suffering from loss and much more…

So be patient O’ Muslim!

Stick to your prayers, perform righteous deeds with sincerity for Allah and in accordance to the Sunnah of the Messenger Muhammad ﷺ.

This is the true success in this life...

And the hereafter.

Be patient..

There is not long left to go..

This week reflect over your day-to-day surroundings and try to cultivate a wholesome environment for yourself.

Ask yourself..

Does your environment, help clear your mind and thoughts?

Does it help you remember the reality of this life?

Do you get sucked into what other people are doing?

Cultivate yourself and your family to question your direction, think positively and call yourself to account when needed.

This week, we have designed a simple and well-designed infographic highlighting the benefits of focusing on the hereafter, designed to share with your communities.

It is an encouragement to remain patient in difficult times and a reminder to focus on your personal relationship with your lord.

Remember...

"Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it."
