As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmutallahi Wa Baraakaatahu,
It’s your Sunnah Infographics Family here!
We hope you are in the best of health and emaan..
This week we will be preparing you for the winter season insha Allah.
As the winter months are fast approaching, it’s a must that we enter it prepared.
Not just with wooly hats, coats and a warm fireplace.
But also with preparing ourselves to make the most of our opportunities for working good deeds insha Allah.
Ayat Al Qur’an - Surah Al Imran (The Family of Imran) - (3:27)
You make the night to enter into the day, and You make the day to enter into the night (i.e. increase and decrease in the hours of the night and the day during winter and summer), You bring the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living. And You give wealth and sustenance to whom You will, without limit (measure or account).
1 Hadith

‘Amir ibn Mas’ud reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Fasting in the winter is the easy reward.”

Reflection Point:
The winter can be a time that many don’t look forward to, with early nights, dark mornings, freezing cold weather, snow and frostbite!
But there are many benefits to the Winter period for the Muslims, that many don't know about.
With the shorter days of sunlight, it means that a person can fast for shorter hours of the day and with the longer nights, it means that a person can allocate a portion of the night for prayer and supplications, while still having a lengthly portion of the night for rest.
That’s why the Prophet ﷺ described the Winter as easy reward.
Alhamdulillah.
With shorter days and longer nights, it means that you have more time at home with the family during the nights. There is also a sense of warmth and comfort indoors, with family and friends during the Winter.
Due to the cold weather, it discourages people from spending time out of the house and more time in doors in the warmth.
Unlike the Summer, where we find many dressing inappropriately, wearing less clothing, adorning oneself, and spending the majority of time outside of the home, even until the late hours of the night because of the excitement that sunshine brings.
Lets remember..
The home is one of the safest places for the family unit, especially in todays society!
And let’s not forget…
Remember to keep in mind family, friends and members of your community, who live alone, struggle throughout the cold months, maybe sick or have lost a loved one.
Visit them, care for them, support them and bring them a gift during the Winter season and even outside of the Winter season!
If you are able to do so..
Insha Allah.
It will make a big difference to them and to you!
